Oh Sweet, It's Not Over

I can't even imagine.


And why did Quest not hand over the phone records for their customers?
Well, because after asking if a warrant had been sought, Quest lawyers realized there was a "disinclination on the part of the authorities to use any legal process" and "the requests violated the privacy requirements of the Telecommunications Act."

Hmmmmm.... laws actually being followed. That's weird. I love how this only appeared to be an issue for the lawyers at Quest and not AT&T and the other telcoms.
